USDOL will soon send PERM notification letters via e-mail

On November 1, 2016, the Department of Labor (DOL) announced that it will begin issuing PERM notification letters via e-mail, beginning December 1, 2016. Moving from postal delivery of correspondence to electronic notification will ensure PERM applicants receive notifications with reduced cost and without delay.

DOL’s Atlanta National Processing Center will now send the following correspondence via e-mail:  Audit Notification Letters, Denial Notification Letters, Requests for Information Letters, Additional Audit Information Requests, Withdrawal Letters, and Notices of Decisions from Appeals.

Additionally, as of December 1, 2016, DOL will accept e-mailed ETA Form 9089 audit responses and responses to Requests for Information, Additional Audit Information Requests, and Notices of Decisions for Appeals.

Importantly, certified PERM application letters will not be sent electronically, due to USCIS security paper requirements.
