USCIS to suspend biometrics for some applications for extensions of stay

The USCIS announced on May 4 in a court filing that it will suspend biometrics for several I-539 applications (H-4, L-2, E-1, E-2, and E-3) starting on May 17, 2021. The goal is to reduce backlogs in the processing of extensions for these non-immigrant visas and hopefully reduce the processing times of EAD applications.

Jackson & Hertogs will provide further information once the USCIS provides guidance.
