USCIS has announced that they have received enough electronic registrations during the initial registration period to reach the fiscal year (FY) 2024 H-1B numerical allocations (H-1B cap).
USCIS has randomly selected from the registrations, and USCIS has updated all Registration accounts with selected registrations for which an H-1B cap-subject petition is eligible to be filed for the beneficiary named in the applicable selected registration.

SELECTED: Our office will be reaching out to you directly if you have been selected – please wait to hear from us. H-1B cap-subject petitions for FY 2024 may be filed with USCIS beginning April 1, 2023. The period for filing the H-1B cap-subject petition will be at least 90 days starting April 1.
OTHER: Alternatively, USCIS may either update the process to NOT SELECTED, which means you have not been selected for this fiscal year, or you may be put onto a Waitlist if USCIS decides to keep open the possibility of future rounds of selections. Last year, there were no subsequent rounds of selections. However, the prior year there were two rounds of additional selections after USCIS determined that they needed to select additional registrations to reach the FY numerical allocations. We will not know for sure whether you are on the Waitlist or Not Selected until USCIS updates your registration to Not Selected. Until the status of your registration is updated to Not Selected, it remains possible that USCIS could determine that they need to select additional registrations to reach the FY 2024 numerical allocations.
