USCIS Removes 60-Day Rule for Civil Surgeon Signatures on Form I-693

USCIS has announced that medical exams (Form I-693) as required for the Permanent Residency process are now valid for two years from the date signed by a civil surgeon. This replaces the previous policy that the medical examination must be signed and dated within 60 days of submitting any application for immigration benefits such as the Adjustment of Status (AOS) to Permanent Resident application (I-485) .

If you have questions about how this may affect you or your family’s AOS applications, please reach out to us.
