USCIS resumes PP for some I-140 cases
published 10 June 2008

The United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) has issued a Fact Sheet stating that -- effective June 16, 2008 -- they will resume Premium Processing (PP) service for certain I-140 immigrant visa petitions. The only I-140 petitions eligible for this resumption of premium processing will be those filed within 60 days prior to the H-1B worker's final sixth year of authorized stay. Premium processing of the I-140 will remain unavailable if H-1B status can be extended in any other way, or if the final 6th year of H-1B status is not due to expire within 60 days.

Jackson & Hertogs is currently reviewing our cases to determine which clients may take advantage of this limited resumption of PP service, and will be contacting those impacted shortly.
