Southern California wildfires: Local USCIS offices maybe closed
published 23 October 2007

As wild fires rage through southern California from the Mexican border up through the Malibu Mountain region, various local USCIS offices have announced closures. If you have been scheduled for a biometrics appointment at an Application Support Center or other appointment at a local USCIS district office, please be advised that you should double check to make sure that the office is open.

If due to the fires, you are unable to attend an interview or an Application Support Center appointment, please contact our office immediately. The USCIS will be accommodating individuals who need to make changes during this emergency situation. If you must evacuate your home, the first order of business is to get your family out safely. If at all possible carry all immigration documents with you that show your status in the United States.
