On February 27, 2002, the INS published a rule reversing the January 24, 2003 reduction in fees for application and petition filings.  The rule is effective upon publication, and the reinstated higher fees reflected in the rule are required for applications submitted on or after February 27. 

INS will accept applications or petitions submitted with the lower fee that was in effect before publication of this interim rule, if the application or petition is postmarked on or before February 27. Cases received on February 27 or currently pending with the INS that were submitted with the lower fee should be processed to completion.  

Effective February 27, 2003, Jackson & Hertogs resumed filing all INS cases with the reinstated higher fees.
